When you remove control panel take photo of where everything is plugged in then unplug and remove control panel. 3 door switches located next to door in a plastic chassis. Pressing the start, microwave will start and dies out. Electric is tripping.
The diagnosis is about an hour. Coz, I need to open the control panel, got a tester, and trsted all critical parts inside the panel. Also, replaced the fuse just to make sure its a new one. Found out it was a switch (bottom part) that control the open/close of the microwave door.
When found out the problem, the rest of the work is easy.

The microwave starts running as soon as I open the door
For model number JVM1790SK01
Hello Dale, thank you for your inquiry. According to our understanding, the issue is most probably with the monitor interlock switch, part number PS11766871. It monitors the door latch position and communicates to the electronic control board whether the latch is open or closed. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. Glad to be of assistance!

Microwave light inside stays on and the start button won’t work. I think it’s not recognizing the door is shut. Everything else works the fan lights etc!

Hello Tracy, Thank you for the question. We suggest testing the Three Door Switches with a Multimeter. The top and bottom switch should read normally closed and the middle is normally open. We hope this helps!

I’ve removed the switch and the part number on the switch is 40T105 5E4. Please advise as to what number would be the correct replacement part. Regards, Bruce
