This door latch, also referred to as a door strike, is designed to secure the washer door during operation, helping to prevent leaks and ensure the appliance starts properly. Made from brushed metal, it features two mounting holes for easy installation using standard screws. If your washing machine door doesn’t close fully or the cycle won’t begin, a worn or damaged latch may be the cause. Replacing it is simple—just remove the old latch by unthreading the screws and install the new one using the existing hardware. Please note that this OEM replacement part is sold individually and does not include mounting screws or additional accessories.

Great part - OEM too
Easy fix, OEM part. My husband fixed it very easily and saved us a potentially costly service call. Best of all the part came really quickly. Ordered it Monday or Tuesday evening and was doing the laundry again by Thursday night!

latch broke, door wouldn't shut, washer wouldn't run - no fun
I googled the problem, read the recommendation found the part and read that it was an easy fix. Took the broken part off the door and noticed the broke off piece was in the latch on the machine. Ordered the two parts, paid the $30 2-day delivery. Parts arrived and the machine was up and runnning in under 5 minutes
Washer door always needed to be slammed to shut and finally the latch broke.
Unscrewed the two screws holding the latch and screwed on the new one. Took less than 5 minutes. The best part was that I ordered the latch on Friday and it was delivered on Saturday!

Broken door latch
Ordered part, received it next day, unscrewed old latch on door and on washer, replaced with new parts. Super easy. Great service on parts.
Removed broken off part with screwdriver and replaced with the new. The store repair man was going to charge $129 and we were able to do it ourselves for $30. A big thank you!

My front load washer is stuck on pause and the door lock isn't working. I don't see a model #, where can I find this? How much is the door lock part?
For model number Unknown
Hello Karen, thank you for your question. You will find the model number on a sticker or rating plate. This can usually be found either on or behind the door frame, or behind the removable kickplate panel at the bottom of the machine. The PAU, or pause, error usually means that the washing machine cycle was interrupted and was not restarted properly. If you try to modify the cycle or start a new one before the first cycle is complete, the PAU error will appear on the display. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you.

Hello, you sent me a new Electrolux washer door latch but it looks like the tip of the original latch is still stuck in the door. Any idea how I can remove it?
Thanks,
Heather
For model number Efls627utt0
Hi Heather, thank you for reaching our. Our research has found that you can try and unscrew the top of the washing machine and lift it off so you can access the back of the door catch. You'll be able to push on the tip of the catch to release it. You may need a flathead screwdriver to help you if the catch is too stiff or fiddly to release with your fingers. We hope this helps.

I'm ordering the door latch because my door wouldn't close. It's popped off. Will the screws from my washer work or do I need to order screws as well?
For model number EFLW427UIWI
Hello Shannon, thank you for reaching out. Yes, you can use the same screws, part number PS3492749, for the door latch if they are not worn out. Glad to be of assistance!
Hi There, the washing machine runs perfectly the first wash cycle. After I am done with the first one, if I start the next wash cycle in about two minutes (a new load of clothes), it will also run with no problems. However, if more than few minutes pass between two consecutive batches then the machine refuses to start. I have to use a timer and to rush to add the next wash load. When it runs, I am very happy with the quality of washing... What could be wrong?
For model number EFLS617STT0
Hello Cristina, thank you for reaching out. Based on our understanding of the issue, we would suggest checking the knob assembly, part number PS11766018, to solve the problem. It processes the cycle settings you choose. The interface also houses the display for the washer. We hope this helps!
