Fridge making noise and not cooling properly.
Discovered the air damper control was not working. It’s small door in fridge which allows cool air from freezer to maintain temperature. Part was easy to remove, used serial number and found part at Part Select. Had part within 5 days and fridge is working perfectly. Part Select personnel were excellent. Would use again.

Annoying sound from the fan control motor
Removed the grill and control cover in the top middle of the main compartment, removed the control, unplugged it and put in the new one. The thing that took the longest was figuring out that this was the part that needed replacing. The fridge is less than two years old and about 6 months ago the control started making these odd noises. Now it's quiet. Ah peace!

Crazy noises coming from inside back middle top of fridge. Is that the damper control? How do i remove and check? Thank you
For model number KBFS25EWNS10
Hi Harvey,
Thank you for your inquiry. It sounds like it could be the damper control as it is in that area. You may need to remove the back refrigerator panel to find out. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

I woke up this morning and my refrigerator was at 48 degrees, and the freezer was at 18. It's possible the freezer door may not have been fully closed. I opened and closed all three doors. Temp in freezer has been coming down through the day, but refrigerator portion is still at 48. Previously, the damper had been noisy. Is there a correlation between the refrigerator not cooling, and the damper? Thanks for your help...
For model number KRFC302ESS00
Hi Scott,
Thank you for your question. If the refrigerator is warming up, the air damper is one part that may be causing this issue. If the coils in the refrigerator have frosted over, there may be an issue with the defrost system. If frost has build up on the coils, this can prevent air flow from flowing through them and the refrigerator will start to heat up. You will need to check the components of the defrost system to see what is causing the issue. There are some other parts that you will need to check as well. Here is a link from our website that you may reference on what parts to check, https://www.partselect.com/AdvancedModelSymptoms.aspx?ModelNum=KRFC302ESS00&mfgModelNum=&fkMfgID=3&ModelMasterID=861126&PID=10. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

my fridge freezes food sitting at the back of my fridge, can you please recommend a solution, i was thinking of replacing the damper sensor.
For model number KFCO22EVBL
Hi Kuldip, thank you for reaching out to PartSelect Canada. Based on our research, we would recommend you adjust the temperature to a warm setting as per need to settle the temperature. If the issue still exists, you will need to replace the damper, part number PS11756641. If the problem still exists the temperature sensing mechanism that is Bimetal Defrost Thermostat, part number PS11749348, is malfunctioning. Replacing it will solve the issue. We hope this information helps!

Will replacing the damper control assembly stop the damper cycling open and closed when the refrigerator is at the set temperature. PS11756641
For model number KRFC300ESS00
Hi Barry,
Thank you for your question. The damper control assembly is controlled by a thermostat, which triggers it to open and close depending on the temperature of the air in the refrigerator. If the damper assembly is not working correctly, then it will need to be replaced. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

The refrigerator sometimes emits a gurgling noise and seems to run constantly. Temperature is maintained at a constant 0°F in the freezer and 40°F in the frig, The damper in the frig section opens and closes continuously.
For model number KBFS22EWMS9
Hi Ihor,
Thank you for your question. If you hear a gurgling sound coming from the refrigerator, it is refrigerant flowing through the tubes. You may also her this sound if you have opened and closed the doors as the refrigerator is cooling. If you find that your refrigerator runs too long, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. We have included a link that you may reference on how to check these parts. Once you have determined the part you need, please feel free to call customer service. We are open 7 days a week and anyone will be happy to assist you. We look forward to hearing from you!
