After running oven in BROIL for lengthy period, entire oven shut off, thermal fuse blown
USE 2 PEOPLE FOR SAFETY! SWITCH OFF OVEN POWER BREAKER!! Remove screws attaching oven to wall opening, slide out entire oven just far enough to get to 2 screws on either side of controls, remove those screws (may need stubby screwdriver), lift control front, opens forward, have 2nd person hold control panel cover while removing centered thermal fuse (plugs on both ends, may need needle-nose pliers to grip plug on fuse.) Remove old fuse, plug in new one. Close control panel, replace side screws, TEST POWER BEFORE pushing oven back into wall, replace wall-holding screws. Less than 30 minutes. EXTRA PERSON MAKES EASY!

Thermal fuse blew while oven was in use and we had a power outage.
Thanks to PartSelect they suggested to try a new thermal fuse first. They also gave a brief description of how to install it. There advice was right on. Replaced the fuse in about 20 minutes from throwing the breaker to turning it back on.
Instructions: Turn off breaker. Remove oven door. Remove screws holding it to cabinet. Remove racks. Slide oven out about four inches. Remove four screws holding control panel. Remove thermal fuse. Replace thermal fuse and put it back together.
Thank you PartSelect. Thermal fuse cost me about $28.00 with shipping. This repair would have cost a couple of hundred if I had to call a repair technician.

Displayed mis information, turned off but never turned back on,
Suspect is sticking relay on the control board. Bought the control board and two fuses. Fact that no power to it meant probably the fuse was blown. Pulled Oven out half way to take off the top sheet metal where inside is where the control board and fuse are. They were easy to pull and replace. Oven works again.
Thermal fuse on top of oven was bad as well as fuse behind oven
Removed oven, removed top cover, replaced thermal fuse, removed back cover, replaced fuse in rear. Both fuses went bad due to self clean cycle. I feel like I almost burnt my house down and the fuses did their job. No more self cleaning for me

At what temperature does this fuse burn out or what is it rated at

The larger burner knob wasn’t turning . The screw behind it fell out causing the metal disks to separate. My husband got them back together and proceeded to screw the screw back in . A large spark happened and now there is no power to both the left burners . We switched the top fuse but that doesn’t seem to be the issue. Also after taking it apart at the back the wires look good. Any suggestions?

Hello Stuart, Thank you for the question. I suggest testing the Oven Sensor, PartSelect Number PS11744233. Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. Hope this helps!

My broiler gets hot but then it shuts off. After numerous tries swapping between bake & broil it finally worked long enough to cook dinner. I even reset the main oven circuit breaker.

Hello Greg, thank you for your question. We would recommend testing the thermostat for continuity. If there is continuity in the fuse the fuse is NOT bad. If the fuse is ruled out, we would recommend testing the PartSelect Number: PS11744233 At room temperature it should read 1070 ohms. If the sensor is fine there might be an issue with the control board, you can try a reset by unplugging or shutting off the breaker to the appliance and then restoring power. If that does not help the control board may need to be replaced. I hope this helps, best of luck with your repair!

We had the power to the house go out while the oven was heated to 450 degrees. When the power came back on just over an hour later there was no power to the oven. Circuit breaker checked out ok. I believe something was fried because the cooling fan could not cool the oven properly. We have a whole house surge protector also.Which part do you think might have gotten damaged?
