The evap motor failed (no air movement inside of refrierater
Removed screws from cover tested for power to motor found power was on to motor but motor did not work. I went to your web site was able to locate part in about 5 minutes . Even with over night shipping the part came to about $50,00, far cheaper tha a service call would have been.

Refrigerator wouldn't get cold enough.
Freezer would get cold at bottom and some of the refrigerator. Took of freezer back panel and located freezer fan. Took a meter and saw power was getting to it, but not working. Removed fan and replaced with new on, working like a charm. Cold air was not circulating enough throughout the unit because fan was not working. It was not the thermostat or adapter control.

fridge side was not getting cold
first I removed the panels to see if the coils were getting frosty . Then I noticed that the fan was not spinning. I tested voltage to the fan and it was hot. I ordered the new fan put it in placve and, voila!. Fixed my fride for under 50 bucks
First I removed the six screws from the cover. I then disconnected the two wires and pulled the small motor out with its base and removed two screws that hold it in place. I then changed the old one for the new one and set it back in its place. I then set the cover back and turned it on. I was happy again.

Refrigerator was warm,freezer was cold
Unplugged refrigerator,cleaned out freezer.Removed shelves in freezer compartment(that took some figuring to unlock sliding sheves)Our freezer is on the bottom.Removed four screws from back cover to expose fan,removed screws and attached wires.Carefully opened plastic clips after pulling fan off shaft.Replaced old motor after reattaching rubber seals.Closed clips to hold motor and placed fan back on shaft.Reattach wires and screws. Put cover back and replaced shelves.Plugged in refrigerator and wallah refrigerator part was cold again!

The freeze is cold but the refrigerator is warm. Evaporator fan blows for a short time and then goes off.

Hello Frank, thank you for your question. If the motor is turning on but not running long enough there could be an isuse with the sensor or the main board. We would recommend testing the thermistor, Thermistor Part Number: 12002355, first. As this is the sensor for the temp in the fridge and sends the information on the inner temp to the board to turn on or off the evaporator motor. If the sensor is fine, the main control board could be the issue. I hope this helps.

Both refrigerator and freezer sections are warm (approx. 48>50 degrees) condenser fan is working and compressor runs as well. Have yet to check evaporations fan. Condenser is clean. There is air flow but the air temp is 48>50. Evaporations fan or thermostat?

Hello Mike, Thank you for the question. If the Fan at the back of the freezer is running then it is fine. You can test the Defrost Thermostat. The best way to do this is to remove the thermostat from the refrigerator so you can control the temperature of the sensor. You can let the sensor warm up to room temperature. With the sensor warmed up to room temperature the sensor should read approximately 6.2K Ohms at 68°F. With the thermistor submerged is a glass full of ice water, the sensor should be very close to 32°F which should read approximately 16.3K Ohms. If the values that you are getting are far off from these readings, then the sensor is bad and should be replaced. You can also Test the Thermister. At 70 degrees the resistance should be 9.3K ohms, 90 degrees would be 7.7K ohms. at 100 degrees would be 6.2K ohms, and 120 degrees would be 4.3K ohms. If the thermistor reads outside of range then it needs replaced. We hope this helps.

Hi there
My Whirlpool refrigerator fridge section is warm but freezer is fine. I changed the thermistor in the fridge section and the problem still exist. A small amount of air is coming from the top intermittently but not enough to cool the fridge area. Can you please help. thanks

Hello Stephan, Thank you for the question. I suggest checking the Evaporator fan Motor to make sure it is running normally and circulating the air to the Fresh Food Section. Also check the Damper Control Assembly PartSelect Number PS11750106. Make sure it is opening and closing and allowing cold air through into the Fresh Food Section as well. Hope this helps!

I would recommend testing the PartSelect Number: PS11743599 defrost thermostat as well as the heater PartSelect Number: PS11743581 just to be safe, but if the unit isn't cooling at all (fridge or freezer) and the compressor parts were replaced the board would most likely be the issue. My condenser keeps freezing up ? The door seals look good but every month it freezes up ? Would the fan have anything to do with this issue ?

Hello Paul, thank you for your inquiry. The door gaskets would be the first parts to check over, if they are allowing warm air into the unit this can cause the coils to freeze over. The other parts that may be causing this symptom are the defrost heater, electronic control board, defrost thermostat, or the thermistor. You will have to test these parts with a multi-meter to determine which part has become faulty. We hope this helps.

The evaporator fan motor circulates air drawn from the freezer coils over the evaporator and throughout the freezer. If the evaporator fan motor is faulty, the freezer section might not perform proper cooling. Checking the evaporator motor for continuity using a multimeter might help. Good luck with the repair!

My fridge part is not getting cold but my freezer is working. I can hear the fan running but i can not feel it blowing cool air. I have been told it could be the fan or the thermostat. These parts are confusing. What could it be?

No cold air blowing in the top (fridge). The freezer on the bottom is fine and has cold air blowing in at the rear grill. Replaced the control board and thermistor. How does the cold air flow to the top fridge part.
