Is this the part I need if my element stays on high no matter what temperature you put dial on?
For model number GR448LXPS1
PartSelect logo
Hello Mary, Thanks for your question. Yes, the most common reason as to why it would remain on high is due to the switch. We would advise replacing it. I hope this helps.

First, the right side single burner/element does not work after turning it on. What is the replacement part number and video link to replace it. Second, the right side dual burner/element turn on, but always in high (cannot be lowered). Again, what is the replacement part number and video link to replace it? Where can I buy these parts in Calgary, AB, Canada?
For model number WERC4101SQ0
PartSelect logo
Hi Jaime, Thank you for your question. The part number listed under your model number for the right rear single burner element is PS11764915. Here is a link that contains information on the part and a video that you may reference on how to install it, https://www.partselect.ca/PS11764915-Whirlpool-W10823711-6-Element-with-Limiter-1200W.htm?SourceCode=3&SearchTerm=PS11764915. If the right front dual element goes immediately to a high temperature, then the issue is the burner switch, part number PS11747215. Here is a link to the part which also has a video on how to access the switch, https://www.partselect.com/PS11747215-Whirlpool-WP9758060-Infinite-Switch.htm?SourceCode=1&SearchTerm=WERC4101SQ0&ModelNum=WERC4101SQ0&ModelID=855324. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Message on stove says e1 f1, expected power surge. What part # would i need and what is the cost?
For model number GR563LXSS1
PartSelect logo
Hello Pay, thank you for your question. The most likely issue is the board itself. The E1 F1 error code is in relation to the control board. If unplugging the unit and leaving it for about 2 minutes doesn't reset the unit please replace the electronic board Part Number: PS11748478. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the quick answer regarding my dual element problems. But, can you provide instructions for testing the infinite burner control switch and the element? Thanks
For model number GR563LXST0
PartSelect logo
Hi Mike, Thank you for the question. You can test the watts with a multi-meter. First unplug the power to the range, remove the upper back panel to access the switches, remove the black wire attached to the P2 terminal, turn the switch to the highest temperature setting, then check across the empty P2 terminal and terminal 4 (brown/black wire) then test between P2 terminal and terminal 4A(brown/white) wire. Both test should have "closed" circuits on the meter, if not the switch is at fault. If both tests have "closed" circuits then the element is at fault or there's a broken wire between the switch and element. Hope this helps!
