My unit has a clip that clips to housing then inserts into the opening where the lint trap sets. My question is does the clip go on the outside of the housing or the inside of the housing?
For model number medb400vq0
Hi Karen, Thank you for the question. The clip goes inside the housing. Hope this helps!

We have what seems to be extra lint not getting trapped in the trap. Prior to this, the small spring (part 4 on the diagram) snapped off while doing my annual heavy duty vent cleaning. Will replacing the lint trap assembly (part 24 i believe) with a new spring help fix this problem? Without that spring, the actual lint trap seems like it doesn’t fit tightly in the housing. Thanks.
For model number Kenmore 700 dryer
Hello Michael, thank you for writing. That may fix the issue, but to be sure of the correct replacement parts, we will need the model number for your dryer. Kenmore 700 is a series. We look forward to hearing back from you.

So how do you mount this assembly with the clip on the inside?
For model number lint assemby medb400vq0
Hi Karen,
Thank you for your question. There is a video on our website that you can reference on how to install the. The dryer and the lint duct in the video may not show exactly like the one you have, but it will give you a general idea on how to install the part. You will find the video under part number PS2039494. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
