The main knob insert snapped.
Nothing to it. Just remember to put the insert in the knob, NOT on the selector stem. Line up the flat part of the insert with the flat part of the stem and push the knob in place.

Don NOT ram it on the selector stem. When it's seated, don't push any more. That's all there is to it. It works. If the pointer on the knob indicates the selector is lined up correctly, but it isn't, the problem is the selector, not the knob.

I washed a load of clothes and the washer worked fine. A day later I went to wash a load and noticed the Green light was off. When I put the clothes in and start the cycle the washer just wont do anything. What do you think the problem might be?
For model number WTW5000DW1

Hi Jerica, Thank you for the question. You may need to reset the washer. To Reset the appliance you will need to follow these steps.Turn the washer off.Set the mode selector dial to Normal.Turn the dial counter clockwise 1 click , clockwise 3 clicks, counter clockwise 1 click then clockwise 1 click. Now press the start button. All the cycle indicating lights should be illuminated. Press the Start Stop button once. Rotate the dial until Rinse, Wash, and Stop light illuminate. Turn the washer off and unplug it for 10 seconds. Finally, turn on the washer and it should now be reset. Run a test load empty to be sure the reset worked. If not perform the reset procedure one more time.Hope this helps!

I need the "d" shaped part that is for water level control. Mine broke. Can i drill out the old part left in the control?
For model number RTW4440VQ2

Hi Roy, Thank you for your question. If you are referring to the d-shaped shaft that the knob fits onto, that is part of the water level switch. The part number listed under your model number for the water level switch is PS11750715. If you are referring to the d-shaped insert, the part number listed under your model number for the clip is PS11746209. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

When i press the start button the washer only flashes locked. I've unplugged it, recalibrated it several times and it will not stop flashing. All of the lights work so it's not the mother board but i don't know what else it could be.
For model number WTW5000DWI

Hello Karen, thank you for your question. If the lock light is flashing but the door is not locking the lid lock itself should be replaced. That is PartSelect Number PS12704713. I hope this helps!

The wash levels knob will not turn. Seems stripped. Is the D shaped knob insert the answer to this.? What knob replaces my old one. What is the part number for the knob?
For model number WTW5550SQ0
PartSelect logo
Hi Carole, Thank you for the question, If you enter the part number and click on the 4th Diagram labeled "Controls and Rear Panel Parts" The knob you need is item #47 and comes with the clip. The part number will depend on the color knob you need. The clip on its own is item #46,Part Number: PS11746209. If you remove the knob and see if you can manually turn the shaft that comes from the back of the panel with a pair of pliers, and it moves normally then the clip or knob will need to be replaced. If the shaft does not turn then the switch will need to be replaced, PartSelect Number PS3408119. Hope this helps!

Washer don't seem to fill enough water to get clothes clean. What my problem
For model number kenmore 11026002011
PartSelect logo
Hello Harvey, thank you for your question. When washing machines don't fill with enough water there are a few parts you will want to check. The water pressure tube that runs down the side of the tub from the control panel, as well as the water inlet valve. The pressure tube, if bent or ripped, will cause the washer to not fill to the desired level. If the water valve may no be opening up enough to allow enough water into the unit. If the tube, and valve are working fine, the issue would be with the electronic control board. I hope this helps!

Washer is just over 2 years old. We ran a load of clothes and worked fine, now it won't start for the 2nd load. There are not any lights or anything when the start button is pushed. Everything seems to be dead. Wall outlet has power, power to the control board inside. There is a small Green light illuminated on the circuit board inside the control box.
For model number NTW4605EW0
PartSelect logo
Hi Michael, Thank you for your question. Usually when your whole control board goes out the problem lies in your control board. I could suggest unplugging the appliance for about 5 minutes and then plugging it back in to see if that resets the board. Make sure your appliance is not in child lock mode if you see that there is an option for that on your control panel as well. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

The knob does not turn the timer , i can turn the timer by hand and it works but now wont turn it what do i need ?
For model number MVWC300VW1
PartSelect logo
Hi Charles, Thank you for your question. You will have to check your parts. The problem could either be with your knob or dial. When you inspect them you will be able to see if they are broken or not. If those parts look fine, it may be your actual timer that is broken. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Washer washes clothes. Then the wash light blinks. It doesn't compete the wash. I have to hold the start button down to shut the wash down. I then change it to drain and spin and press start. , this completes the wash.
For model number WTW4815EW1
PartSelect logo
Hi Matt, Thank you for your question. I would suggest taking a look at some of the physical parts that turn your drum. It seems like they may be wearing down. The first part I would have you check is your belt. You should also take a look at your clutch assembly and your drive block. It could be that your door latch is also starting to fail as well. I would suggest testing that part with a multi meter to be sure. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Continous sensing (clicking relay-like sound} even when washer not engaged or being used. Washing became unpredictable, sometimes the washing cycle complete and the very next load, it fail to passes the filling stage. I replaced the motherboard and clicking of the sensing relay continued
For model number 11022352510

Hello Earlston, thank you for your question. If the unit is sitting in "sensing" mode you will want to check the water pressure switch and tube, the water valve, lid lock and actuator assembly that sits under the tub by the gearcase. I hope this helps!

The water level knob on the far left was snapped off while moving. I believe the switch is ok, knob is fine. The plastic d-shaped shaft from knob to switch in back broke off. Can just the shaft be replaced easily to correct issue?
For model number WTW5540SQ0
PartSelect logo
Hello Chris, Thanks for your question. The red shaft is included as part of the water level pressure switch itself, part number PS3408149. I hope this helps.
