Water that fills your dishwasher lifts the float. When it reaches a certain level, the float triggers this float switch to shut off, thereby shutting off the flow of water into the dishwasher.

Hello. My dishwasher will often fail to start filling with water at the beginning of a cycle. If i open and close the door several times, each time trying to start it again it will usually start eventually. Even more strange, if i have the door open and manually activate the door switch then press start it starts filling with water every time. Additionally, occasionally the washer will not drain. All the lights seem to be performing normally, i opened the dishwasher up and checked all components i could with a multimeter including the door swith (works perfectly, i even removed the door strike plate and manually inserted it into the door switch with the door open and it started filling with water just fine.) i also tested the bimetal fuse, high limit thermostat, heating element. The float switch did occasionally not make a great connection but i disassembled the micro switch and cleaned it up now the float switch works perfectly with the floatswitch/filling valve circuit testing at the right resistance. So i am kind of at a loss for what to do now. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello Derek, thank you for your question. It sounds like there is an issue with either the control panel or the electronic control board. All the parts tested already are ones we would recommend checking first. Since all those parts have been tested and are working correctly, we would recommend checking the connections between the control panel and board, as well as the wiring harness to the switches. Something if there is a burnt or loose wire that can cause a bad connection between the controls and board. If the wires are find and connected well the issue is most likely with the board or the control panel. I hope this helps!

Hello, my dishwasher is not completing any cycle. Power shuts off completely for a few minutes, then comes back with flashing start/resume Green led. Tried replacing hi limit thermostat and turbidity sensor but no luck, same issue. Its not the door switch, checked continuity. Could the problem be the float switch? Thanks for your help.

Hi John, Thank you for your question. If your dishwasher is not completing its cycle, there are a couple of reasons why this is happening. One is the door not closing properly. Another issue is the overloading of the dishwasher. A dishwasher has a maximum load limit. When dishes are loaded properly, they are exposed to water but, when rinsed, are heated and dried. Improper loading can lead to a lack of drying and even an inability for the washer to drain dirty water. This may result in the dishwasher stopping just before the rinse cycle. This may also keep the door from shutting completely. Another reason is there may be a lack of water entering the dishwasher. If so, you will need to check the water pressure going into the dishwasher or there could be a clog in the water inlet valve. Also, if the heating element is not working correctly, this can cause the dishwasher cycle to end prematurely. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Hello, my dishwasher cut off power before the heating cycle. After a few minutes, the start/resume light starts blinking and the machine will start again but cut off power again when the heating cycle start. I've replaced the hi limit thermostat, checked continuity on the heating element and door switch. I also tried replacing the owi sensor. Checked the main control board, looks ok, no burn marks. Please help! Thanks.

Hello John, thank you for inquiring. For this symptom you will want to replace either the Door Latch and Switch Assembly part PS11754317, the Control Panel part PS11749141, or the Electronic Control Board part PS11752012. It could also be the Heating Element part PS11748194. A faulty Heating Element will cause the dishwasher to stop. We hope this helps.

Dishwasher starts and runs through cycle but is not draining properly. There is an inch of water left in the bottom after the cycle is complete and the indicator light says the dishes are clean. I have run the cycle with the drain tube in a bucket and it appears to be filling and pumping ok during the wash cycle. I have also checked the accumulator and filter and they are clean and unobstructed. Is this likely a control board or float switch issue? Any thoughts are appreciated.

Hi Mark, thank you for reaching out. Based on the description you have provided, we would suggest checking the drain hose for any blockage first. If it is fine, the issue could be with the drain pump, part number PS11753379. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
