An easy inexpensive fix
The float assembly of my dishwasher melted during a wash cycle. I had no idea what it did and I can advise no water will enter your dishwasher if this part is not functional. I ordered the part, it came 2 Days later and it slotted into place. A fast fix and no call out fee or repair service required.

Pan leaked at the float/switch penetration
1. do not order or buy anything before examining the tension nut and washer. 2. Unplug the unit. 3. Open the switch box before trying to remove the float. Two types; easiest is pin based and lifts out easily. If the float catches, it likely has a headed bottom and needs an assist to lift past the stop flanges. 3. Using a standard ohmmeter, check for continuity. If it checks no need to replace. 4. Check float and assembly for abnormalities; cracks, lime deposits, etc. 5. Now decide what needs replacing. Did all my work with relative ease without pulling out the appliance. A couple sequences may need realigned.

Is there anyway to get a picture of the stem? I pulled this float valve up, and now it doesnt seem to lock into the hole.
Hello Mark, Thank you for your inquiry. Although we do not have a picture or video for this exact part number, I have included a link to a similar float. Hope this helps!

Would not clean as usual. Replaced defective heater element and the cutter blade assembly. Clean light blinks and can do nothing to make it quit blinking or start. When i push the cancel drain button a motor starts and continues to run until it is pushed again.

Hello Gary, thank you for your question. There are a few parts you will want to look into to determine what the issue is. We would recommend checking the Turbidity Sensor Part Number: WPW10705575, High Limit Thermostat Part Number: WP661566, Capacitor Part Number: WPW10334457, Bi-Metal Fuse Part Number: W10258275. If these parts are tested and are in working order, the issue may be the electronic control board itself. I hope this helps!

My float is leaking out the bottom of the pan - looking for a new washer for this - can i buy it separately? Does it come with the switch assembly for $51?
For model number 665.13762k600
Hello Jason, thank you for your question. The Nut and Gasket for this Float Assembly are sold separate. The Gasket is part PS11746142 and the Nut is part PS11747059. We hope this helps.

My dishwasher was leaking and while trying to disassemble to clean traits or filter (which I didn't find) I broke this piece at the stem. Can't figure out how you would replace it. Is this the whole assembly? I also need a door gasket
For model number Gu2275xtvy1
Hi Laurie,
Thank you for the question. This is the top part of the float with the stem you would need. You should be able to just push to float into place by guiding the stem back into the hole.
Hope this helps!

There is a slow leak at the base of the overfill float which allows water to run into the washer pan after the cycle is complete, necessitating my turning off the water valve. Over the past year I have used the dishwasher very little with lapses exceeding a month. Have gaskets dried out?..or do particles keep the valve from closing? or...??????

Hi Peter, thank you for the question. Check to make sure the water inlet hose and sump seal are not damaged or worn-out and are leading to water leakage. If this does not solve the issue, we would recommend checking the float switch, part number PS11745484. The float triggers this float switch to shut off the flow of water into the dishwasher. Good luck with the repair!
