Oven wouldn't heat above 300 deg. F.
I tried taking the sensor out, but the plastic coupling behind the oven wall had melted and the melted piece was larger than the opening in the oven wall. I had to use a mini-screwdriver to chip away at the melted coupling before it would fit through the opening. That took forever...but it finally worked and the repair went quickly (15 minutes) after that.

Oven not browning on top. Temp not adequate. Top element not producing heat.
I actually found a loose connection . After receiving parts I removed back cover. Only then did I find a loose connection to the element . I cleaned and repaired the connection and replaced the sensor which was faulty. The element awaits a time review of my decision to not use it.

Oven was overheating and locking the door. Codes indicated the temperature sensor could be the issue.
Only one screwdriver needed for this simple repair. Unfortunately for me it did not repair my oven and a new code on the oven indicated a bigger problem with computer board.
Part Select was great to work with and accepted a return and promptly refunded me for the part.
Thank you!

I have replaced the ignitor & the temp. Censor , will not turn on . Do i need to clear the eo-f3 coads & how do i do that ?
For model number GW395LEGB3
PartSelect logo
Hi Danny, Thank you for your question. The error code E0 F3 indicates that the oven temperature sensor in your range is open. This error code can also mean that the electronic oven control in your range has failed. Disconnect the electricity to your range for 2-3 minutes. This will reset your control if it is just confused. If this does not fix the issue, you will need to check both parts with a multimeter to see which one is causing the issue. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Do you think this could be the temperature sensor?I wrote you the other day but i gave you the wrong error codes inadvertently. i thought it was f3. thanks so much.
For model number KESC300BAL4

Hello Linda, thank you for your question. Yes, that error code is in relation to the heat sensor in the oven or the electronic board. Most commonly the sensor will go bad before the board. We would recommend replacing the sensor PartSelect Number: PS11744825. I hope this helps!

Error code f3 Is this the temperature sensor?
For model number Whirlpool Range MOD. GHP 85801 SER. IMK0494558
PartSelect logo
Hi Carol, Thank you for contacting us. The F3 error code is letting you know that the you have an open temperature sensor. Try unplugging the range for a few minutes and plugging it back in to see if this resets the oven. If not, you will need to test the sensor with a multimeter to see if it has continuity. The oven temperature sensor is the part that monitors the oven temperature and signals the electronic control board to turn the elements on and off. Before removing this part from the oven and testing it with a multimeter, unplug the oven from the electrical outlet. To test the sensor, you will need to reference your owner’s manual to determine what the correct reading should be for your model, as this varies from model to model. To test it for continuity, use a multimeter on the Rx1 setting and touch the terminals with the probes. This test needs to be done with the sensor at room temperature to produce accurate results. If your test results do not meet the manufacturer’s guidelines, you need a replacement temperature sensor. We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know.

All burners work on cooktop. In oven, baking element comes on and immediately turns off. Says f3. Do you think this is temperature sensor?
For model number KESC300BAL4

My oven will not hold the set temperature. It looses temp as it baked (start at 350 within 15 minutes down 25 degrees). Is this the part (temperature sensor) that i need? Thank you.
For model number RS696PXYB
PartSelect logo
Hi Pat, Thank you for your question. It definitely could be. I would suggest testing your sensor with a multi meter to see if it is working correctly. You can also test your bake element as well to make sure that it is not that part. If both of those parts are fine, it may be your electronic control board that is the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
