Timer Knob

It couldn't be easier. I removed the old knob and stuck the new one on the shaft. Perfection in less than 15 seconds!

I am thankful that PartsSelect had this replacement knob. I tried repairing the old one, first with super glue and finally with heat-shrink tubing. Both worked for a while, but eventually the knob epanded enough to not turn the shaft.

I ordered the timer knob and read that I also needed the knob spring clip (this part is non-returnable), so I ordered both. Upon arrival I found that the knob spring clip already comes installed inside the shaft of the timer knob. So you don't need to order both. It was the easiest repair I've ever done. Just position timer knob on D-shaped shaft of dryer timer and push until knob clicks into place.

Lined the flat side of the knob with the timer stem and simply pushed it on.

Ordered the new knob. That's all.

Just put the knob on where old knob was.

i took the old knob off, went to partselect and ordered the part really easy as their site helped me find the correct part, and put it on with ease when it came in the mail. It works great and PartsSelect helped me be a hero to my wonderful mom. Thanks.

Timer knob.....took new knob out of protective shipping bag and installed it on the existing timer stem. It took less than one minute.

Door catch kit......removed original female latch part from dryer door and installed new one by pushing it in the hole left by the original part.

The original part is no longer manufactured. However, PartSelect provided a cross reference from the original part number to an acceptable replacement. The new part simply had to be lined up and pushed on to the shaft. The time required to install the replacement was approximately one minute.

I just lined up the knob with the post and pushed it on, easy!

The new knob went right on my 33 year old Kenmore dryer. It looks just like the old knob except that it is shiny and new.
