Timer knob was cracked, missing spring clip and wouldn't set accurate drying time
I ordered the timer knob and read that I also needed the knob spring clip (this part is non-returnable), so I ordered both. Upon arrival I found that the knob spring clip already comes installed inside the shaft of the timer knob. So you don't need to order both. It was the easiest repair I've ever done. Just position timer knob on D-shaped shaft of dryer timer and push until knob clicks into place.
Dryer selected knob not turning and agitator not spinning
7/16 socket removed nut and very easy to take apart replaced agitator. Spring knob just pop in. Awesome doing it myself and not having to spend over a hundred dollars to get a $20 job done!

Received my knob spring clip today which is part wp688805 but no instructions? Can you email me these so I know how to attach.

Hi Jan,
Thank you for the question. You just need to insert the clip into the hole on the back of the knob and then line the D shape with with the shaft and slide the knob back into place.

the Shaft behind the Timer Knob of dryer is not D shaped to line it up with the new spring clip. the Shaft is a straight smooth rod. the original spring clip had a marking to line it up but not to shaft. Advice?

The part numbers for the timer and the knob spring clips are PS11749833 and PS11743754, respectively. We hope this helps!
knob will turn but won't push in for washer to start also i don't see a clip of any kind on back of starter knob or is it inside of black housing box
