water overflowing when filling
I ordered the parts at a minimal cost compared to the repairman's quote, they arrived in 3 days. I used the laptop and put it right next to where I was working so that I could follow the directions step-by-step. The instructions were easy to follow and showed you right what to do so I never had any questions. My washer had a slightly different configuration but I figured it out. Replacing the parts was simple, take one off, put the other on. Putting the washer front back on was a little tricky, I had to have my daughter help me hold it in place while I wiggled it around to make sure it was just right before I screwed it back together. It was easier than I thought it would be. I told my husband I loved the internet, I would never have been able to do this job without the instructional video. Thanks PartsSelect!

Washer Overfilled - Timer Not Running
When the washer overfilled I thought I had a level switch issue, and I replaced it and the tube. Was still having problems with it advancing, and replaced the timer. I may have caused the problem myself as I crossed 2 wires on the level switch and it took awhile to figure out my error and why it still didn't work. Next time I take a picture. Was the washer worth sinking $225.00 into it? It's over 25 years old and the only other repair was the motor coupling and clutch a couple years ago. This is probably the last time but the wife really likes the machine and was unhappy when I suggested replacing it. From what I read about the new ones with electronic control I may be better off keeping this one going as long as I can get parts.

I have ordered the water level pressure switch and water pressure tube to solve the problem of my washer not filling water and when it did, it would overflow. Can you give me the weblink on your site where I can see a video to replace both parts.Thank you
For model number LSQ9010KT0

Hi John, Thank you for the question. Unfortunately we do not offer a video at this time on how to install the pressure switch and hose on your model number. Here are some basic steps.Remove the two Phillips-head screws in the front corners of the console on the top.Tip the console back on the hinges that secure the top of the console to the washer.Once you have the console loose, you need to remove the knob, and remove the air hose from the switch. Then remove the cabinet to access the air hose where it attaches to the outer tub assembly, on the right rear portion of the tub. Remove the console screws and tilt the console into the service position. Unplug the lid switch connector from the connector in the washer top. Remove the cabinet mounting clips by using the flat blade screwdriver in the clip. Remove the cabinet by tilting it forward and pulling it away from the washer. The rear panel can be tilted back for better access to components at rear of machine by twisting the rear panel support 90°. and then tilting the rear panel back.Hope this helps!

My washer fills to desired level and washes and then drains. The problem occurs when it fills for the rinse cycle. The washer will then fill to the desired level for the rinse cycle and start agitating. But the water will then continue running while the machine agitates and run over into the floor unless we stop it manually.

Hello Steve, thank you for your question. I would recommend replacing the timer. From the sounds of it, the valve is working and the pressure switch is working, because when you start the unit, it fills, and agitates no problem. The issue is during the rinse cycle only. If the water continues to run ONLY during the rinse cycle the issue could be the timer. I would recommend testing the switch, just to be sure, and checking the pressure hose to be sure there aren't any kinks or the hose isn't being pinched during a full heavy load. I hope this helps!

Washer will not finish cycle
For model number WTW8600YW0
PartSelect logo
Hello Dean, Thank you for the question. In order to troubleshoot the issue we will need a bit more information. What cycle is it in when it will not finish? Can you turn the knob manually and have the cycle finish? Are you getting any errors or blinking lights? The more information the better. Look forward to hearing from you.

Water pump keeps running after end of cycle. No error code. End of cycle light is on and clothes are properly cleaned. Smacking the top of the washer stops the pump. Thanks for any help!
For model number WTW8200YW0
PartSelect logo
Hello Dave, Thank you for the question. If hitting the appliance turns the pump off, you could have a loose wire connection somewhere. If the Wiring is good, this could indicate a defective Control Board or Drain Pump. We hope this helps!

If i were to cut the hose 3 too 12 inches longer would it bring my water levels up.
For model number Na
PartSelect logo
Hello James, thank you for contacting us. The smaller pipe will be able to reach high pressure faster, leading to a decreasing water level. If the tube length is increased, then during water filling it will take more time to reach high pressure, resulting in an increasing water level. We hope this helps.

Sometimes our water will continue filling the machine during different phases of the cycles when it shouldn't. Sometimes it will continue after the water has filled for the rinse cycle (flooding our floor). Other times it will continue running water as it's pumping out a wash or rinse cycle. And then there are times it will wash a few loads no problems from start to finish. I have unplugged the power several times when it does this and the water continues to run! If the problem was the timer we think it would be more consistent in where it messes up each time. So we are leaning toward the water inlet valve. We would like to be able to wash without having to continually check on it each time we wash! Thanks for your input on our problem.

Hello Vicki, Thank you for the question. This sounds like the water valve is becoming stuck open and is defective. The valve is not repairable so it will need to be replaced, PartSelect Number: PS11749042. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!

Hello, This washer on test mode shows me an error code of F32 and then it finishes the test mode without problem but, when you put the machine on a normal cycle to start washing the clothes just put little water and aping, little water and doing and kept doing the same thing over and over again I don't know why ???
For model number WTW8540BW1
PartSelect logo
Hi Yetzel, Thank you for your question. The F32 error code stands for Long Drain which means the control has recognized the water in the tub is not draining fast enough during the cycle. Here are some things that you will need to check. Make sure the pump and drain hose are clear of debris that would cause a blockage. Check the impeller on the drain pump and make sure it is not damaged. Remove the tub hose from the pump to the tub and check it for blockage. Make sure the pump is running and that it is getting the proper voltage when it should be. If everything checks out fine, then replace the drain pump motor. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Will this resolve the LF error code, or do we need the water lever switch? If we need the switch, please advise part information. We checked the hoses and they are clean and clear. Water inlet valves are open.
For model number MVWB300WQ1
PartSelect logo
Hi Brenda, Thank you for your question. The LF error code is letting you know that the washer is taking too long to fill with water. If you have checked the hoses and they are clean and the water is turned on for the water inlet valve, check to see if the valve screens are clear. If they are try pressing POWER/CANCEL to clear the display to see if the LF error code will remain or if this clears it. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
