Does this light switch for the freezer, have anything to do with the ice maker not working? I have read on some models the ice maker will not start if the switch is faulty. So far, I have replaced the water inlet valve, the filter, the ice maker without success. The water dispenser works fine as does all other functions on this refrigerator.

If your ice maker is still not making ice after replacing the ice maker, the water inlet valve and the water filter, check the water lines to make sure that they are fitted correctly and for signs of clogs, cracks and leaks. Freezer has three lights, one in icemaker and 2 in freezer. Both freezer lights dimmed for a day, then flashed a couple of times, then they are both out. Are those two lights in series and only one could be burnt out? Or is it the freezer door switch that controls those two lights?

Hi Stanley, thank you for the great question. The freezer lights are in series so make sure they are good first because if one is bad, it will stop both lights in the freezer from working. We would recommend checking the light, part number PS11738148, and the LED Light Board, PS12349553. We hope this solves your problem!

Everything is in working condition. The upper fridge works fine. The Freezer controls works fine. The Thermostat for both the Upper Fridge work fine as I have tested them with a Thermostat. The light in the freezer stopped working. That's why I believe it is in the Freezer switch. Thanks for your help and Reply.

The ice and water door dispenser doesn't work unless I push on the upper right side of the freezer door. I was unable to locate the door switch, as I believe it has a bad connection or faulty switch.
