Replace power cord that had burned from a small fire
I removed top control panel and then the old power cord that been damaged by a small fire and the just attached the new power cord and control panel. Unblievably simple and I saved myself a lot of money. Where I live in a NYC suburb this type of simple repair could easily cost $100.

I'm trying to wire the power cord to the dryer..it's just a solid grey cord no green wire,red black or yellow. It's a three wiring cord. It's not even starting up

Hello Daniel, thank you for your question. Be sure to unplug the dryer before attempting this repair. Attach the middle or ground wire to the center terminal, one of the outer wires to the right terminal, and the other outer wire to the left terminal. Then attach the grounding strap or wire that runs from the center terminal to the dryer case. We hope this helps.
