Broken elbow on icemaker water fill tube.
Removed 2 screws holding water fill tube to rear of refrigerator and pulled out, matched old part with new to make sure of proper match. Guide new fill tube thru hole, making sure it is aligned with slot in ice cube tray on inside of freezer. Install new plastic line from water pump outlet to water fill tube, check for leaks, job done.

The Ice maker would not work.
We rolled the refrigerator out away from the wall and it was obvious where the break was located. We took out the old water spout for the ice maker and replaced the tube and the tubing from the solenoid. We turned it on and soon we had water dripping everywhere. We unloaded and defrosted the freezer which got all of the remaining ice that was stuck in there. We put everything back together. I read in some instructions in the manual that it might take 24 hours for the ice maker to reprogram itself and start producing ice. I was only about 12 hours and we had ice again and everything worked well. You really do not have to disconnect the water from the main line, the solinoid controls that part of operation and turns the water off until the ice trays are free and clear.

ice maker was leaking water
Parts went right into place as the pictures showed and was working again in about 30 minutes. The only thing that wasn't working was the ice took forever to make, but solved that problem by turning up the temp in the freezer.

The refrigerator leaked water every time the ice maker filled.
The problem was discovered to be a cracked fill tube head, This part extends behind the refigerator and is VERY vulnerable to breakage when the box is pushed backagainst a wall space! Placing a shim under the vertical part of the fill tube fixed the problem even without replacing it with the new part. So, now I have a spare!

Ice maker fill tube broken
The repair I performed was so simple it doesn't merrit mentioning. What I was really impressed with is finding a source this easy and user friendly (even though they didn't have the dishwasher soap dispenser I needed). The parts were easy to find on your site and because of your simple methods of finding and describing your parts I was able to buy a markedly better filter at a cheaper price than my usual source. They may have the same part but because they are oriented to showing you only the specific part you request rather than showing you all options, like your site, I wound never have known that filter existed. Thank you for a good resource.

Broken gooseneck on fill tube
The gooseneck on the icemaker fill tube extends out beyond the back cabinet of the refrigerator, and is easily broken. Luckily, this part is a piece of cake to replace. You'll literally spend more time pulling out your fridge and cleaning out behind it then you will replacing this part.

Shut off water supply line, and turn off ice maker (lift the metal bar in the ice bucket all the way up). Loosen the hose fitting, and remove two screws. Pull out the old tube, and slide the new one in. You may have to wiggle the tube around from the inside to get the alignment correct. Replace screws and fitting. Turn water and ice maker back on, and check for leaks. It really is that easy! It took me longer to type this than to actually replace the part.

Only one potential catch. The instructions warn that you may have to cut the new tube to match the length of the old tube, so make sure you compare the length of the old and new tube. I didn't have to to do anything - the replacement part was the exact same length of the original. If by chance you do need to cut the tube, you'll need small saw of some sort, such as a coping or hack saw.

Ice maker was over flowing with water and freezing in freezer
I first ordered the wrong part number and received a 2 way valve, but after talking to customer service they provided me with the correct part number for the correct 3 way valve and gave me an RMA to return the wrong part. I disconnected the power and turned off the water and removed the old valve. The new water inlet valve had slightly different water tubing self compression connections, so I had to cut off the old tube nuts with a pair of dikes on my existing tubing and simply push the trimmed tubing all the way into the new valve connection ports. After connecting the new water inlet valve, I checked for leaks and found none. I also had to remove my internal ice maker to remove all of the frozen ice. After reinstalling, the next day my ice maker was making ice again. In the mean time I had also ordered a new ice maker, which I probably do not need now. I can't decide whether to keep it for a spare or to request an RMA.

Filler tube broken and old tube frozen over
this is a snap! 2 screws an a nut to tighten and it works like a charm. the filler tube in my Kenmore refer had broken off in the back. ( really bad location to put this in the beginning) if you push the refer to close to the wall you can break it off easily. remove the water line by loosing the nut and remove the hose from the fill tube ( This assumes you have already turned of the water supply or you are standing in a large puddle)remove the 2 screws that hold the filler tube in place. pull out the old filler tube in and slightly upright motion. replace the new fill tube into the same hole and replace the screws. replace the hose and tighten the nut, turn the water back on and check for leaks your done !!
doesn't that feel great?

My ice maker is not getting water to the tube at the top inside of the freezer.
For model number ED22TEXHW02
PartSelect logo
Hi Donald, Thank you for your inquiry. I would suggest checking your fill tube to see if there is any ice blockage preventing water getting to your ice maker. The second thing that I would suggest you look into is your water inlet valve. Test both of the solenoids on that part with a multi-meter to see if they are working correctly. Good luck with your repair.

I have replaced the water inlet valve, and cleaned water lines and ice maker thoroughly but i am still not getting any water to the ice maker. The ice maker goes through the process but water gets to it. What could be the problem ?
For model number TT14DKXKQ03
PartSelect logo
Hello Bobbi, Thank you for the question. If the valve was not the issue and the lines are clear and it is still not filling, this normally means the ice maker is defective and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps!

Is there a way to test the ice maker ? Does the ice maker tell the inlet valve to send water?
For model number ESTATE TT14DKXKQ03
PartSelect logo
Hello Bobbi thank you for writing . Yes it does , there are test you can do for the water inlet Remove the water inlet valve from the refrigerator. Disconnect your fill line from your water valve Remove any wire harness or harnesses from your water valve. Push down on the tabs and remove the hoses. Once you remove the water valve, be sure to check the screen for any debris or blockage. Grab a multi-meter and set it to the lowest Ohms of resistance for your part. If you have any analog meter, touching the two metal probes together will zero out. To test your valve, touch one probe to each terminal. Depending on the part, your part can read between 200 and 500 Ohms. Note: If you have a fridge with both an ice maker and water dispenser, your Ohms of resistance may be higher. If your valve didn't reach those levels it probably needs to be replaced. Hope this helps. Contact us anytime.

The ice cubes taste funny. Is there anything in the ice maker that can cause that? I have an external water filter and it's been replaced and later bypassed and i still have the same problem. The ice cubes are normal size and everything else seems to function normally.
For model number ET22DKXAN02
PartSelect logo
Hi John, Thank you for your question. Ice cubes that taste funny can be caused by food containers left open or by food that has spilled inside the refrigerator. If the ice has been sitting in the refrigerator and it has not been used, it will absorb food odors. You may also have a bad water supply that is causing the ice cubes to taste funny. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Our ice maker quit working so we ordered part number w10130935. When we took out the maker we saw the fill tube inside the freezer was frozen solid. So we installed the new motor module thinking maybe the system has a way to melt that ice but found after 10 hours it did not thaw. We are wondering why would that fill tube freeze solid, what would cause that and what should we check to fix this problem? The water line? Can you give some pointers?
For model number ET20DMXAW00
PartSelect logo
Hello Mike, Thanks for your question. This type of issue typically arises from a leak or problem with the water inlet valve. You may want to examine the solenoid and test it with a multimeter for electrical continuity - replace it if it shows no continuity. I hope this helps.

Hello, Water is not dispensed, but the ice dispenses fine. What could be the problem? I see cold water coming out at the back of the refrigerator, but there is no water in the bottom front tubing behind the filter cover. Should i expect water to be flowing in the front tubing all the time or does it get water there only when the water switch is triggered? Thanks for your help. sahana
For model number 10657282791
PartSelect logo
Hi Sahana, Thank you for your question. If your refrigerator is not dispensing water, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check control bracket, the micro switch and the nozzle and tube. We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!

The plastic line from the water pump outlet to the water fill tube for the ice maker became disconnected, possibly broken. I tried to re-insert the water line back into the ice maker water fill tube, but it isn't a secure fit and still leaks a lot. I was going to order the Ice Maker Water Fill Tube Kit Part Number: PS11739222 to try and fix this problem. But was wondering if it might be the plastic water line to the freezer ice maker?
