Evaporator Kept Icing Up , Not Getting Cold Fridge Side
Had to take everything out of freezer including shelves. Removed lower back panel to expose evap. Assm. And thermostat. Defrosted evap using a handheld blower drier while using a shop vac to suck out the melting water from the evaporator tray while melting. Installed the thermostat utilizing color coded wires and did a test run. Worked perfectly after that.

Evaporator coils were freezing up and the water dispenser would not work
I was not sure what the fix was on my refrig, so I ordered the defrost timer kit, bimetal defrost thermostat, and the evaporator heater(about 100.00 in parts)
I think my entire problem was the bimetal defrost thermostat, as it was somewhat bulged out on the plastic side.
The evaporator coils would freeze over--the evap. fan would not work and the cold water dispenser would not work. I did't have time to just replace one part at a time so I ordered all three parts that have to do with the defrosting of the evap. coils.
The parts worked and the refrig. is operating fine. Thanks to parts select for a super fast delivery(one day).

Fridge side wasn't cooling and the Freezer was icing not letting air from the bottom going to the fridge side.
First I unpluged, open the back right side, and I put a sponge to get the water that was melting from the unit, at front took the ice bucket off, pull the three shelvings and the lower drawer off too, unscrew three little nutscrews (1/4) from the middle and two from the bottom, pull the cover sideways and you can see the Thermostat on the left side top of the coils, just unplug one and cut the other, for the heater evaporator, there two clips holding it, pull the clips off and replace the unit, put everything back together and believe me will work, after two hours you can see the difference, I call many places for the repair i was gonna get charge $90.00 for the check, another $90.00 per hour plus parts, I just spend less than $70.00 Thank guys.

Refrigerator started to defrost and actually stopped being cold.
We actually had a friend come up and find the problem and he told us what part was needed and then when it came in I just unscrewed the old part and installed the new one and replaced the cover and screwed it back in place and turned the fridge back on and in a matter of hours the icemaker was making ice and the refrigerator side was getting cold again. A $30 part saved us at least a thousand dollars which was what it would have cost to replace our refrigerator.

fridge tripped every couple hours
suspected the defrost heater, as fridge always tripped when defrost timer (orange knob behind bottom front grill) was at 3 o clock. Undid the freezer back plate, disconnected heater, rotated knob to 3 o'clock, no trip. ordered new heater and thermostat. can pull cooling coil outward(be gentle) Need needle nose plier to remove clips holding heater in place.
replaced heater, also thermostat for good measure.
Voila!!!
