Idler Pully Squelling
Squeling from inside dryer. To Fix- Pry dryer top cover off by popping cover off the two fastening clips located at about 3" inward from the two front corners. A screw driver at these two locations is easily inserted between the top cover and front panel. Next remove the two screws on the top inside of the driver approximate size 5/16 inch. Pull the top of the front panel outward and then note how the lower portion clips into the fram, lift the front panel off the clips and roll it to the right. Remove the 4 screws and bulkhead. Draw a picture of how the belt wraps around the drum and idler. Also note the belt orienation on the drum. Roll the belt off the idler pully and reomve the drum. Replaced Idler asembly by first removing the tension spring and lastly the retaining bolt. Reinstall everything in reverse order. Can be a bit tough getting the belt around the idler and motor pulley however this is managable. My machine runs great now! Once again Parts Select comes through with great delivery, perfect fit, good pricing, accurate parts list. This is my third purchase and I have been 100% pleased. By far the best on line service I have ever experienced.

What is the name of the part i need? It looks like a felt seal and came loose inside my dryer tub and tangled with the clothes it
For model number MDET446AYW
Hi Vurtis,
Thank you for your inquiry. I believe the part you are referring to is the cylinder felt seal, part number PS11741917. This cylinder felt seal is used in dryers and is located between the back of the drum and the rear dryer panel. If your dryer is experiencing any of these symptoms, replacing the felt seal could solve your problem: squealing or banging noise, clothes are getting stuck between tub and felt pad, takes too long to dry, not heating enough or not heat at all, or does not tumble. The tools needed for this installation are a 5/16 nut driver and a putty knife. Make sure to unplug the dryer from the power source before beginning this project. Refer to the manual provided by the manufacturer for further instructions. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Water forms inside dryer door.
For model number ALE643RAW
Hi Audrey,
Thank you for your great question. As the clothes are drying in your dryer, the dryer will produce moisture which is filtered out through the vent duct. If there is an obstruction in the vent, then this will prevent moisture from leaving the dryer causing water to accumulate in the dryer. If there is water in the dryer after you have dried a load of clothes, you will need to check the vent duct for obstructions. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

The seal on my dryer door is rubber and snaps into place around the door. This rubber doesn't look like it clips in? Mine are about every 2 1/4 inches...
For model number ALE443RAW
Hello Robin, thank you for inquiring. This is not the Door Seal for your model. For your model it comes as a part of the Inner Door Panel that is part PS2039397.
