Hi Mike, Thank you for your question. The tub cap is just one part that you will have to check. There are some parts that you will need to check to see which ones are causing the issue. You will need to check the door balance link kit, the strike plate, the door latch, the door balance spring, the detergent and rinse aid dispenser and the door hinges. I hope this helps. Hello Mike, thank you for your question. If the unit is shutting off sporadically and pushing on the top parts of the door activates the washer again, the issue is with the door latch and switches. You would want to replace both switches, part number Door Switch PartSelect Number: PS11745501. Good luck with your repair!
