Microwave does not heat. Turns on with time input. All other functions of convection oven and broiler work. Hope it's not magnetron. Help!
For model number HMC87151UC/01
Hello Richard, thank you for writing. This is most likely due to either a faulty Diode, part number PS8770335, or the Magnetron, part number PS11773389 for your model. Good luck with your repair!

Microwave causes short when plugged into the wall. Outlet works fine without microwave plugged in. Also, the convection oven stopped working shortly before the short started.

Hi Dave, Thank you for your question. There are a few parts that you could check for this issue. Please be advised, you must unplug the appliance from power and safely discharge the capacitor before attempting any repair as the capacitor can electrocute you if not properly discharged. You would be able to test these parts with a multi meter, remove them from the appliance before testing. First you should take a look at your fuse being the issue. It should be reading 0 ohms to be working correctly. You should also check your diode. You will also want to test all of your door switches to make sure that they are working. They should also be reading 0 ohms to be working correctly. If those parts are fine then the issue might either be in your capacitor or your magnetron itself. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Hello, I have Microwave HMC87151, suddenly it died when I closed the door, as if it was unplugged from the outlet. Checked the outlet and braker, all works. I discovered that left (green) switch was faulty, replaced it with a new one (part #10060778 or 00631512). It didn’t fix it. Right (red) switch is good. I suspect it’s a fuse. But it looks like there are 2 different fuses. Wanted to hear your thoughts and recommendations.
Thank you

Hi Oleg, thank you for reaching out. According to our research, the issue might be with any of these fuses, part number PS10060776 or PS10060777. The function of both the fuses is to protect the microwave from damage by shutting off the microwave if there is a power surge. You may test the fuses for continuity using a multimeter to verify the fault. We hope this helps!
