Water Module Dispenser Broken- Flapper not working
Removed the frame around the ice/water dispenser by hand. Removed the back cover- 4 screws. Removed the module- 2 screws. Unhooked 2 wires for the module. Install the wires back onto the new module & reinstall back onto the refrigerator. Very simple fix. Probably saved $200. on cost of labor.

Do i need to purchase this whole assembly if i only need to replace the water/ice dispenser lever? I was thawing the water line with a hair dryer and it melted the lever.

Occasionally the water/ice dispenser lever will stick open while getting water. What could be causing this.

Control panel on front of freezer door went from the regular settings to zero and zero. Doesn't look like the refrig is running.

Hi Jack, Thank you for the question. I suggest testing the Defrost Thermostat Kit.The best way to do this is to remove the thermostat from the refrigerator so you can control the temperature of the sensor. You can let the sensor warm up to room temperature. With the sensor warmed up to room temperature the sensor should read approximately 6.2K Ohms at 68°F. With the thermistor submerged is a glass full of ice water, the sensor should be very close to 32°F which should read approximately 16.3K Ohms. If the values that you are getting are far off from these readings, then the sensor is bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps!

My ice dispenser gets stuck on and will not shut off, due to the flap in the door remaining open. Will this (part 8) solve that problem?

When i push the lever on the dispenser i get water but no ice. The auger does not turn.Do i need to replace the dispenser?

Thank you for your question. If the dispenser is not dispensing ice, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the dispenser crusher housing, the water inlet valve, the ice dispenser drum, the drive blade, the ice maker, the crushed/cubed ice solenoid assembly, the ice container and the micro switch. When i push cubed ice dispenser need to try 4 or more times for it to dispense ice,and it only dispenses crushed ice.

Hello Daniel, thank you for your question. We would recommend checking the ice bucket, and auger area to be sure the bucket is seated correctly, and there are no issue with the motor connecting into the bucket. If the auger is working sporadically the issue could be the auger motor, or the internal piece of the bucket. You'll need to determine if the issue is with the auger, or solenoid, or the bucket itself. If the ice/crushed/cubed switch is working and you can hear movement inside the bucket but it takes a few attempts to actually get the ice into the cup I would start with inspecting the bucket, auger, auger motor, and the solenoid.
