Buzzing sound comes from the display board and is telling us that the line is bad.
For model number JGB660DEJ2BB
Hello William, thank you for contacting us. Bad line means that the oven is only getting 120 volts instead of the 240 volts requires to run the oven properly. Try to unplug the unit and plug it back in. Try to flip the circuit breaker off and back on. If it still does not work, remove the back access panel where the power cord connects to the back of the oven. Sometimes the wires short at the terminal block and you need a new power cord. If you do not see anything, test 240 volts between the 2 outer terminals and if you have 240 volts, order and replace the control board, part number PS8768304, because it is not reading the power properly. Good luck with your repair!
Removed the two screws put the heat shield off the old one onto the new one put new bottom in and tightened two screws. Done #38. 69 Cost of part with shipping cost included.
I had to call for a appointment for repair with GE Appliance because I thought then it . .was something electrical. The technician came out & checked everything out, turned out it was not electrical, The technician went out to his truck got a light bulb from his truck, put it in & it worked. It cost me $121.00 for trip charge from GE appliance for a light bulb that worked, your light bulbs were defective twice. Very disappointed with your products, cost me alot of money for a good light bulb thru GE appliance
Unplugged the appliance for safety. Removed two 1/4" screws that held the assembly in place. Carefully removed the wire guard that retains the glass shield. Unscrewed old light bulb and replaced with new part. Reversed the steps after cleaning glass cover.
