Support strap dropped across bottom element of lower oven, tripped 40 amp double pole breaker. I removed the metal strap reset breaker and can hear the relays pulling in but no 240 volt to the element. Top oven works fine, don’t know if it damaged the board, gas burners are fine. Could the control for the lower oven shorted? I only get 120 volt to the elements. Thanks for the help
For model number JDR8895AAW
Hello Art, thank you for reaching out. Based on the description that you have provided, we would recommend replacing the oven control board, part number PS11742906. Before replacing the control board, make sure wires are properly connected to the terminal block. A faulty or loose wire could also cause this issue. We hope this solves your problem!
WHEN TRYING TO LIGHT BURNERS THE LEFT FRONT AND LEFT REAR BURNERS WILL NOT LIGHT AND THE IGNITERS DON'T TICK . IF I TURN THE KNOBS TO LIGUT AND LIGHT RT FRONT AND REAR BURNERS THEY WILL ALL LIGHT. THIS ALL HAPPENED AFTER MY WIFE SPRAYED CLEANER ON THE STOVE TOP. ANY IDEAS AND OR PART NUMBERS ?

Hi Steven, thank you for contacting us. Based on our understanding of the issue, we would suggest checking the surface burner igniter, part number PS11746068, to fix the issue. It produces the spark that lights the surface burner. Igniters are sold individually, so you may need to order two of them for both of the burners. Glad to be of help!
I just replaced both of the heating elements in the lower oven. The oven is automatically tuning on the keep warm (170 degrees) automatically. The lower oven turns on- what the heck? How do I stop this? seems as if it does this when we've been using the upper oven or the stove top, could heat be activating?

What is the electrical resistance of the lower bake element?
For model number JDR8895AAW
Hello Paul, thank you for contacting us. Based on our research, if the bake element has continuity, the resistance should be between 30 to 100 ohms. If there is no reading or very little change on the multimeter, then the bake element is not working properly. We hope this information helps!

Removed the oven door by opening slightly, then pic door up to remove. Remove 2 screws holding oven sensor in place, gently pull on sensor to remove, had to remove about 8 inches to get at plastic connector. Unplug connector, had to use an adapter cable supplied with the PartSelect kit to install new sensor, push cable back into opening, reinstall 2 screws. The oven works fine! Note that due to thermal lag the temperature overshoots to 370 degrees and undershoots to 340 degrees, this appears to be normal oven operation. Putting door back in place was easy.
This particular model has a bracket that holds the element close to the oven ceiling, so I had to unscrew that as well as the element mounting screws on the back oven wall. The hardest part (not that hard) was the connectors were really tightly clamped to the element terminal. I had to use pliers to help wiggle them off the tips. Recommend doing this very gently yet firmly - I was worried about ruining the connectors or the wires to the oven. The element was deader than dead and actually fell apart in three places once it was detached. The new replacement element arrived a couple days later. Putting it in was a breeze, although the oven is quite dark and I needed Mrs. Handyman to hold a flashlight so I could get the screws in. Oven works fine now.
