Common Refrigerator Model Number Locations

Step #1: Use the guide below to find your refrigerator model number

There are several different styles of refrigerators and we have listed the most common model number locations for all types: side-by-side, freezer on top, freezer on bottom, French door, and mini/compact.

    On the interior ceiling

    On the inside wall of the freezer
  • 3
    On the inside of the door
  • 4
    On the door frame
  • 5
    On the interior wall behind the lower crisper drawer
  • 6
    On either inside wall of the unit
  • 7
    On the interior floor bottom (remove crisper drawer)
  • 8
    Behind the kick plate
Step #2: Search with your Model Number to find your part!

Sample Model Number Tags

Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
