The handle has a plastic part inside of each side and one of ours has a piece broken and that is what we need to replace. However, I cannot seem to find that small piece - it appears i have to replace the entire drawer handle? Is that the case? And if so, does this part that I am seeing have that inside? I don't want to order and find out it is just the outer shell and not those inside? Thanks. Samantha
For model number MFI2568AES
Hi Samantha,
Thank you for the question. Yes to replace the insert in the end of the handle you will need to order the full handle assembly as they are not sold separately. The screw and small round mount that looks like a nut are sold separately.
Hope this helps!
Bottom freezer handle is coming loose on one side. What do i need to do to tighten it up?How is it attached?
For model number MF12568AEW
Hi Bill, thank you for your question. With that handle you just pull it to one side. Being gentle to not scratch your appliance. Then you will be able to pull the handle off and tighten up the screws. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

How do you remove freezer handle
For model number MF 12568 AEB Maytag
Hi Kim, thank you for contacting us. The door handle, part number PS11748573, is installed by snapping it with two external screws on the exterior of the door frame. Following general instructions will help in disassembly: Use a hex key, insert it in the small cavity on the lower side of the door handle, close to the ends of the handle, and rotate it counterclockwise. Apply some force to lift the handle and remove it. We suggest applying duct tape under the door handle to protect it from scratches from the hex key. We hope this helps!
